Out of Sync is a short film project developed and directed by Edu Martín Julve using Unreal Engine 5. With a very small team he is trying to develop a pipeline for using Unreal to get high quality animation. I think it is working so well so far. There is a strong possibility that in the near future animation will be in part produced in real time. Creatively it is a dealbreaker.
I was contacted by Edu to design the environments of this project. Due to budget restrictions we are using some 3d kits he has bought, picking things from here and there and trying to make them look coherent with the world Edu has in mind.
This one is the main environment, so Edu wanted to go all in and it was designed from scratch even if reusing some props was always in mind.
I'm quite happy with the result. I will post some screen captures of the animation in a later post.
